The Grace Lutheran Church Worship and Music team is responsible for creating a joyful and meaningful worship experience. This requires a lot of behind-the-scenes activity. They are responsible for all of the décor in the sanctuary such as the flowers, candles, banners, and paraments.
Other responsibilities include:
- Purchasing and laundering all vestments for the acolytes, assistants and minister
- All communion preparation, set-up, clean-up, baking of the bread and purchasing communion cups
- Preparation for holy baptism including the care of the font, candles, wiping cloths and monitoring the supply of baby blankets
- Overseeing the volunteers who provide flowers for the worship service
- Provision of music for weddings and funerals at the request of participants
The Worship and Music Ministry also includes the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church Choir, the Way of Grace Music Ministry who provide more contemporary music, and the children’s music ministry.
If you are interested in volunteering to be a Greeter or Usher during the worship service, contact Paula Parker in the church office.
The Worship and Music team handles feedback from the congregation and works with the Music Minister and Pastor to ensure a welcoming and significant worship experience for all.
Please check this site often as events are subject to change and check the calendar for any recent event updates.
